February holds Mumbai's last clean dry-winter window before March humidity begins to creep in. Daytime stays 24-32C with 55-65% humidity. SGNP trails are at their dry best. Kanheri sees moderate weekend traffic — Borivali residents day-tripping into the park — but weekdays remain quiet enough to walk the full 1.5km trail from car park to cave 3 and then continue another 600m up to caves 11, 36, 41, and 90 (the ancient water-cistern complex that fed the monastic community). The Maghi Buddha-related observance attracts a small monastic-flow but Buddhist anchors in February are minor compared to May's Buddha Purnima. Mumbai February is also the city's best weather full stop, so all SGNP traffic patterns hold — weekend crowds, weekday calm.
