The Buddhist-monastic associations of Kanheri don't have a specific April anchor, but the cave 3 chaitya hall remains the most rewarding single-cave Mahayana site in greater Mumbai. If you're a serious heritage visitor accepting the heat, April mid-week mornings give you the caves nearly alone; if not, wait for October.
