The standard 4-day itinerary holds; many operators offer a 5-6 day version with an extra day at the Maninda Tal lake or the Jaundhar glacier extension. Cellular signal weak; offline maps essential. Carry warm layers for nights, hot water bottle, trekking poles. Daily distances 9-12km. The trek is rated moderate in May — ideal for first-timers with reasonable fitness.
