Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) in February
Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India
Go in February — water clarity peaks at 30+ metres, all diving and water sports run daily, and seas remain calm for safe boat access.
Peak crowds
February is one of Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep)'s busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Island beach and diving peak Dec–Apr when sea conditions are best and weather is stable; monsoon closes water sports.
February is Havelock at its operational best. Rainfall sits at 12-20mm for the month, sea state is the year's calmest, and underwater visibility consistently delivers 30m at the major dive sites. Air 25-30C, water 27-29C. Manta ray sightings cluster around Inglis Island in the first fortnight - dive shops at Beach 1 chase them on dedicated trips, around 6,500-7,500 rupees for a two-tank day. Mid-month, the school-holiday families thin out and the island hands itself back to divers and snorkelers. Radhanagar at sunset still pulls 200-300 people most evenings; the rest of the time it sleeps. Scooter rentals run 400-500 rupees a day.
