On rim by 10am. Plan 1-2 nights on-site for proper geological visit. Day 1: rim circumnavigation (6 km loop, 3-4 hours). Day 2: descent to lake via eastern path past Daityasudan temple (1.5 hr down, 2 hr up), Sita Nahani waterfall ravine birdwatching. Don't drink alkaline lake water. Photography: November dawn gold-light on crater bowl from western rim is the year's best shot. Daityasudan basalt-carving detail at peak clarity.
