June at Hemkund Sahib is peak yatra season. Daytime at the shrine 12-15C, nights 0-3C; at Ghangaria daytime 16-20C, nights 6-10C. Monthly rainfall 100-150mm, mostly second half. Helicopter from Govindghat-Ghangaria at peak frequency (every 8-10 minutes when weather permits). Ghangaria gurdwara dharamshala at full capacity (200+ beds, free, langar at 12pm and 7pm). GMVN tents and private lodges at 90 percent occupancy. The Valley of Flowers National Park (the UNESCO-listed alpine meadow, 4km lateral trek from Ghangaria) opens June 1 — most pilgrims combine both: Day 1 Govindghat-Ghangaria, Day 2 Hemkund and back to Ghangaria, Day 3 Valley of Flowers and back to Ghangaria, Day 4 Ghangaria-Govindghat. The Valley of Flowers entry fee ₹150 + ₹100 camera. Pony service from Pulna ₹2,500-3,500. Helicopter ₹10,080 round-trip Govindghat-Ghangaria. Carry rain protection from mid-month onwards. The Hemkund star-shaped sarovar (the holy lake at the shrine) is at clearest visibility in June.
