Little Andaman in early May is the surf season changing register. The first 18 days run on schedule - ferry from Phoenix Bay 3 weekly, surf at Butler Bay bigger and rougher at 2-2.5 metres, water 30C. Daytime 28-33C, humidity 84 percent. After May 20 the southwest monsoon advance arrives in the Andaman Sea. Ferries cancel on rough-sea days; ferry returns in particular get held for weather. The waterfall walks become slippery after evening rain - White Surf is fine, Whisper Wave gets risky. Guesthouses at year-low 600-900 rupees per night. The next clean Little Andaman month is November.
