Peak crowds
November is one of Aalo's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Peak October–January for post-monsoon freshness and winter holidays; monsoon months are quietest.
November in Aalo is peak West Siang. Monthly rainfall sits under 50mm, daytime 22-24C, nights 11-14C, humidity at 70 percent. The Yomgo and Siang have cleared post-monsoon silt — Class III-IV rafting runs on the Yomgo (operators based out of Donyi Hango Travels and a handful of Pasighat-based outfits) hit their seasonal flow. The Aalo-Mechuka onward circuit is reliable; landslides are almost zero through to February. ILP processing through eilp.arunachal.gov.in returns to 24-48 hour windows. The Galo villages run a full post-harvest calendar; Hege and Karbak homestays operate at full capacity. The Yomgo River Festival itself falls in January but the run-up months are when Aalo runs at its most coherent — you get the same weather minus the festival crowds. Domestic flights to Pasighat at 90 percent of capacity. Hotel rates begin climbing about 15-20 percent from mid-month as January festival travellers book early.
