This is when local Garhwali food shines—steaming bowls of chainsoo (black dal) and kafuli (spinach preparation) at small eateries. The forests produce mushrooms that show up in local dishes. Landour in the rain is not for everyone, but it's deeply atmospheric for those who appreciate it.
