Baratang in March holds February's functional conditions while the prices ease. The limestone cave is dry, the mud volcano viewing platform stable, creek boats running on time. Tour operator packages drop to 1,500-2,000 rupees per head as Port Blair tourist load eases. The Jarawa Reserve rules are unchanged. Lunch at Baratang jetty is basic - rice, dal, fish curry, around 200-250 rupees per plate. Some travelers split the 14-hour day with an overnight at Sundri Resort, but accommodation is basic and single-day return is the norm.
