SPORTS (Society for Promotion of Nature Tourism and Sports) permit required — apply 10-14 days ahead via sports.utl.gov.in. Indian nationals only. Most visitors transit through Agatti.
Agatti Island Beach Resort is the only private resort on Agatti — no real upgrade alternative. SPORTS (government) operates Kavaratti and Kadmat resorts as larger-scale options for tourists. Agatti is the only Lakshadweep island with an airport. Most visitors fly into Agatti, transfer to Bangaram/Kadmat for beach resorts.
