Sixteen Naga tribes, each with its own dialect and dress. Kohima's WWII Cemetery memorialises the 1944 battle that turned back Japan's advance into India; Khonoma is signed as Asia's first green village; Mon is the Konyak (former headhunter) heartland; Dzukou Valley's seasonal wildflowers run May–July; Pfutsero is the highest district headquarters.
