October dresses Chamba in warmth — both thermal (16-24°C) and visual. Dussehra celebrations fill the Chaugan with a week of theatre, processions, and community spirit distinct from how the rest of India celebrates. Autumn colours edge into the valley, and the town operates at an ideal tempo.
