February is one of Chidiya Tapu's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Busiest Oct–May during dry season; monsoon and cyclone months Jun–Sep see fewest visitors.
February at Chidiya Tapu runs at the year's lowest rainfall (15-20mm) and the calmest dawns. Air 24-30C, sea glass-flat through the back half of the month. Biological Park gates open 8am - on a weekday you will share the trail with two or three parties at most. The Mundapahad loop is at its driest; the mangrove boardwalk is solid, no slip risk. Migrants remain through the third week before drifting out. Sunset crowds thin from February 20 onward - couples head home, plains tourists move to Havelock. Buses from Port Blair STA stand run every 90 minutes, 50 rupees one way; last bus back 6:30pm.
