Morgaon in April
Maharashtra, India
April pushes Morgaon into heat-compromise territory. Daytime 26-39C on the Pune plateau; the temple courtyard stone holds heat 8am-7pm. The svayambhu Mayureshwar darshan remains operational but compresses to pre-9am and post-5pm windows. The peacock-Ganesh murti with its Nagaraj cobra canopy and lion vahana sits at full schedule but the pradakshina circuit (the open courtyard around the temple) becomes uncomfortably hot by 10am. Karha river at lowest pre-monsoon flow — the ghat stays workable but the wider riverbed dries to dust. The 64km Pune drive is the most uncomfortable stretch; AC-bus packages from Pune drop to ₹450-700 per pilgrim. Pilgrim arrivals thin sharply through month; lodging rates drop to ₹400-900. The committed pilgrim flow (Sage Mudgala lineage Vaishnavites from south India) shifts to dawn-only darshans. Temple cool stone interior holds 33-35C — better than outside but not comfortable. Push to October for the post-monsoon ideal window.
