The Girijatmaj murti inside Buddhist Cave 7 sits in cool stone interior holding 33-35C — the cave structure insulates well but reaching it from the basalt-step ascent is physically punishing. Heat-related incidents at Lenyadri spike in May — local pilgrim trust runs an emergency-water station mid-staircase from April onward. Angarki Chaturthi falls Tuesday 5 May 2026 but most committed pilgrims skip Lenyadri specifically through May. The 95km Pune drive remains drivable; the climb itself is the failure point.
