Diglipur in August
Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India
August at Diglipur is July with marginally fewer wet days but the same broken infrastructure. Rainfall settles at 440-490mm. The Saddle Peak trail remains closed by Forest Department order. Ross & Smith dinghy crossings are still suspended. NH-223 has 3-4 chronic problem stretches that close intermittently as new landslides feed off August rain. The Port Blair ferry runs 1-2 times across the entire month, and cancellation rates are above 60 percent. The handful of homestays around the township operate at minimum staff. Mobile network beyond town is non-existent and unreliable in town. Wait for late November or December.
