Bangaram Island in March
Lakshadweep, India
Go in March — peak season means calm seas, 30+ metre visibility for diving, and warm dry weather, but expect premium pricing and full resort occupancy.
Peak crowds
March is one of Bangaram Island's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Resort island busiest Nov–Mar during school holidays and cool season; monsoon swells make sea access risky Jun–Sep.
March in Bangaram is the soft-landing month. Daytime 26-32C, water 28-29C, lagoon viz holds at 28-30m through most of the month. CGH Earth publishes shoulder-rate packages from the second week — 20-25 percent off February rack rates, often bundled with a complimentary night dive. Manta Point encounters start tapering after March 15 as the water warms past 29C and the rays move deeper; turtle sightings on the eastern reef pick up in compensation. The 30-minute speedboat from Agatti runs the standard twice-daily schedule. Resort occupancy drops to 70-80 percent, which means the lagoon-fronting cottages (the ones with the direct sunset view) become bookable inside the window. The dive school runs full programme. The resort bar — the chain's only legal pour — stays open 11am to 11pm. Power on Bangaram is solar-plus-genset; there are no public outages but cottage AC runs only 6pm to 10am at the resort's standard policy.
