कहाँ खाएँ

  • Buongpui Orange Festival Food Court (seasonal Dec)

Festival runs the third week of December (17-19 Dec in 2025). Eat early — most stalls clear stock by 3 PM and the cultural performances start at 4. Tamenglong oranges peak at this exact festival window — buy a kilo from the growers' competition booths, not the roadside touts.

  • Last Cup Cafe

Chiuluan Chakatdai, near ZBCCNEI, Duigailong (~3km from Tamenglong HQ) · ₹

Doors open 11:30am — too late for breakfast, perfect as a brunch-or-tea stop.

  • Tamenglong District Tourist Lodge — Dining Hall

सिग्नेचरNaga thali (smoked pork + rice + boiled greens)

Order ahead by 11 AM for lunch and 5 PM for dinner — they cook to numbers, not to menu. Vegetarians should specifically ask for "Naga veg thali" with boiled greens and dal; the default plate is pork-heavy. Coffee from Tamenglong's own orchards (the district is part of Manipur's coffee-revival map) is served only by request.

  • Tamenglong Bazaar Rice Hotels

Tamenglong town main bazaar · ₹

सिग्नेचरRice with pork and boiled greens

Walk the main bazaar between 12-2 PM and pick the rice hotel with the highest local-foot-traffic — that's the freshest stock. Vegetarian options run thin; ask for "dal-bhat with siking" (wild greens). The bazaar shuts by 6 PM, so dinner means returning to the Tourist Lodge.
