The cave sits 27 km from Tamenglong HQ in Liangmai country with no commercial tour operator. Visitors need to ask the District Tourism Office or the village headman for an entry guide.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
655.6 m long limestone cave system with stalactites, an underground stream and a colony of fruit bats — the longest mapped cave in Manipur. Local Liangmai folklore identifies it as the abode of fruit bats and a sacred site. Entry only with a village guide; carry your own torches.
Sacred Liangmai lake set in a forested basin; the only known python habitat in Manipur and a stop for migratory water birds in winter. Local belief holds the lake spirits sacred; villagers from Tousem accompany visitors. Day-trip only — no overnight option at the lake.
Open grass-and-pine ridge meadows on a 1,800 m saddle — locals know it as N-piulong Valley. Wild orchids carpet the slope May-July, and the Land of the Hornbill (Tamenglong's branding) earns its name with sightings of Great Pied and Indian Pied hornbills above the valley.

दिसंबर Orange Festival (2001 से हर साल — दिसंबर 2024 में Tamenglong में 18वाँ संस्करण) के दौरान Buongpui मैदान में सामुदायिक-पकाया खाद्य न्यायालय होता है जहाँ Zeliangrong, Rongmei, Liangmei, Zemei और Pumei रसोइयाँ अपने धुएँ-में-पकी-मांस-और-चावल का संस्करण एक साथ परोसती हैं। एक दोपहर में 5 उप-जनजाति नागा व्यंजनों का स्वाद लेने का सबसे कुशल तरीका। उत्सव के हफ्तों के बाहर मैदान खाली रहता है।

Tamenglong मुख्य बाज़ार में 4-5 छोटे अनामित 'चावल होटलों' (नागा शब्द बुनियादी ढाबों के लिए) का समूह, जो चावल के साथ पोर्क/बीफ/चिकन और मौसमी जंगली साग परोसते हैं। किसी के पास स्थिर Tripadvisor सूचीकरण या मुद्रित मेनू नहीं — यह संग्रहीत भोजन के बजाय ईमानदार-अभाव ढाँचा है। ज़ेलियाँगरोंग अक्सोने-किण्वित-सोयाबीन सजावट वह क्षेत्रीय पहचान है जो पड़ोसी ज़िलों में अनुपस्थित है।
Tip: सबसे ताज़े स्टॉक के लिए दोपहर 12-2 बजे मुख्य बाज़ार में घूमें और सबसे अधिक स्थानीय-पैदल-यातायात वाला चावल होटल चुनें। शाकाहारी विकल्प पतले हो जाते हैं; 'दाल-भात और सिकिंग' (जंगली साग) के लिए पूछें। बाज़ार शाम 6 बजे तक बंद हो जाता है, इसलिए रात के खाने का मतलब Tourist Lodge वापस जाना है।

The New Year and post-harvest festival of the Zeliangrong people (Zeme, Rongmei, Liangmai, Inpui tribes). Gaan-Ngai lasts five days and marks the closing of the old year and arrival of the new one. The festival carries hopes for peace and prosperity.
Annual state-level festival celebrating Tamenglong's position as Manipur's largest orange producer. The festival features over 300 orange growers and exhibitors competing for prizes, with the winning orange receiving Rs 2,00,000. Cultural activities include traditional dances, tug-of-war, indigenous wrestling, traditional fire-making show, and folk song presentations.
