Government guesthouse perched on a hilltop with views over Mon district. Basic but spacious rooms. The caretaker is a local Konyak who can arrange village visits and introductions to tattooed headhunters (the last generation). Book through Nagaland Tourism.
Family-run cottages in the land of the Konyak Nagas. Simple but clean rooms and the host family shares stories of Konyak headhunting traditions (now peaceful, of course). They arrange visits to Longwa village where the chief's house straddles the India-Myanmar border.

Order meals at check-in or by phone the day before — the kitchen runs a fixed menu, not à la carte. Veg can be arranged but the pork is what they're known for. Tariffs ~₹1000-1500 a night with meals charged separately.

Booking-only — meals are part of the stay package, not walk-in. Drive ~30km from Mon town; pair with a Longwa visit on the same trip. Phejin's book is on the shelf; ask her to walk you through the tattoo glossary at dinner.

Roughly ₹600/bed and ₹180-200 per meal (veg/non-veg). Sit at the central fireplace, sip the black tea slowly, and let the food come when it comes — the kitchen runs on family rhythm, not service speed. Longwa has no hotels; this is the food infrastructure.
