February in Kadmat is the chain's most reliable diving month. Rainfall under 8mm, daytime 24-30C, water 27-28C, lagoon viz at 30m through most of the month. The Lacadives dive school runs its full programme — open-water courses (four days, ₹35,000-40,000 all-in), advanced specialty courses, and the deeper Bird Reef wall site at 22m. Kadmat Beach Resort books out 30-45 days ahead through February; SPORTS-administered cottages clear faster (the budget option, around 60 percent of resort rates). The SAMUDRAM cruise from Kochi runs near-full capacity — bundled-package travelers form the bulk of February visitors and the 1-2 day Kadmat anchorage gets a rotating set of 200-300 cruise passengers. The 8km lagoon means the resort and cruise zones don't meaningfully overlap. Reef-walk access from the resort beach starts at 6am low tide. Dry island; alcohol available only on Bangaram in the chain.
