Logistics
Rent Royal Enfield Himalayan in Manali (₹1,500-2,500/day). Carry spare tubes, chain lube, puncture kit. LAST PETROL PUMP before Spiti: Tandi (Keylong side) or Kaza (only pump in Spiti, often dry). Carry 5L jerry can. Oxygen can recommended above 4000m. Travel in group of 2+ bikes minimum.
Day by Day
Leave by 6AM. Rohtang permit needed (apply online 48hrs before). Road rough after Rohtang. Fuel up FULL in Manali.
Easy day. Tandi has LAST fuel pump before Spiti. FILL UP.
Baralacha La (4890m). AMS risk. Camp at Sarchu or push to Pang tents.
Kunzum Pass 4590m. Unpredictable weather. Kaza has the only petrol pump in Spiti — may be out of fuel.
Key Monastery, Kibber, Hikkim post office. Acclimatize.
Tabo cave monastery. Nako Lake. Road improves slightly.
Enter Kinnaur. Kinnaur Kailash views. Road narrow, cliff-edge sections.
Last village before Tibet border. Dead-end road. Return same route.
Baspa Valley descent. Road improves significantly.
NH5 — good road. Circuit complete.
