Silvassa in March
Daman & Diu, India
Go in March—the region scores well, temperatures are warm but not yet oppressive, and tribal villages and lake areas are most accessible before summer peaks.
Peak crowds
March is one of Silvassa's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Lake and forest destination peaks in cooler season and school breaks; peak monsoon Jul–Aug is quietest.
March in Silvassa is the soft-landing month. Daytime 22-34C, nights 20-21C, humidity past 65 percent in the last fortnight. Vasona Lion Safari afternoon slots (2-5pm) run hot — the lions are visible but noticeably less active; shift to the 9-11am slot. Dudhni Lake morning boat rides remain the cool-of-the-day move; afternoons get glare-heavy off the water. Holi long weekend (variable mid-March) sends Mumbai and Surat traffic across NH48; Silvassa hotel and resort belt hits 90 percent occupancy for the 4-day window with rates spiking 25-30 percent. Outside Holi, walk-in resort rates discount 20-25 percent versus February. The Tribal Cultural Museum and Hirwa Van Garden remain comfortable midday. Last comfortable month before April temperatures push humidity past 75 percent and outdoor afternoons collapse.
