Silvassa in April
Daman & Diu, India
Peak crowds
April is one of Silvassa's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Lake and forest destination peaks in cooler season and school breaks; peak monsoon Jul–Aug is quietest.
April in Silvassa is when the trip shifts toward AC, pools, and short outdoor windows. Daytime 25-36C, humidity past 75 percent, the Daman Ganga river drops to its annual low and Dudhni Lake water level recedes 2-3m from monsoon high. Vasona Lion Safari 9-10am slot remains workable for wildlife visibility; the 11am-5pm window is hot enough that the lions retreat to shade and the visitor drive-through is largely an empty enclosure. Dudhni boat rides workable until 11am, then the glare and heat off the reservoir pushes visitors back to resort pools. Khanvel Resort, Treat Resort, Lake Resort by Sterling all run their pool programmes at full operational tempo — these now drive the weekend rather than the wildlife. NH48 Mumbai traffic still peaks Friday 4pm but holds at 4-5 hours rather than January's 5-7. Hotel rates run 30 percent below February peak.
