Mount Abu in February
Rajasthan, India
Go in February—peak season, 12–26°C comfort, and Guru Shikhar views are excellent, but arrive mid-week to avoid weekend Gujarat crowds.
Peak crowds
February is one of Mount Abu's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Rajasthan's only hill station. Nakki Lake and Dilwara Temples busy in winter. Summer Festival (Jun) draws regional crowds.
February warms slightly to 8-20°C. The Aravalli forests start showing early spring signs. Mount Abu's tourism machinery prepares for the approaching season. The Dilwara Temples remain peacefully accessible. The orchid and rose garden, maintained by the forest department, begins its spring display.
The February story
February Mount Abu is the intelligent shoulder month. The Summer Festival hasn't started, the Gujarati wedding-season crowds haven't arrived, but the weather is already pleasant for all-day exploration. The trek to Guru Shikhar—Rajasthan's roof at 1722m—is comfortable and rewards with 360-degree views of the Aravalli range disappearing into the desert below. The Wildlife Sanctuary (300 sq km surrounding Mount Abu) holds sloth bears, leopards, and over 250 bird species—February is good for sighting as foliage is thinner. The Achalgarh Fort and temple complex, 8 km from town, is a half-day excursion with carved Nandi bulls and a panoramic ridge walk. February also works for the Brahma Kumaris experience—their evening meditation sessions at Peace Hall are open to all and genuinely calming.
