Diu in February
Daman & Diu, India
Go in February — peak season with dry 18–29°C days ideal for coastal walks, quiet mid-week roads, and long fort explorations without monsoon humidity.
Peak crowds
February is one of Diu's busiest months. The score rates conditions — weather, access, value — not how many people you'll share them with. Portuguese colonial island beach peaks Nov–Feb when coastal weather is coolest; monsoon Jul–Aug is heaviest.
February in Diu is the sweetest of the cool Saurashtra months. Daytime 16-28C, nights 14-15C, rainfall under 5mm, humidity 60 percent. The Arabian Sea sits at 23-24C — the year's coldest, but workable for confident swimmers. Festa de Diu winds down its big-event programme around February 14-15; the closing weekend at Nagoa Beach amphitheatre draws 4,000-5,000 visitors. Mid-February to early March is the year's under-noticed window — same January weather, hotel rates sliding 15-20 percent. Diu Fort's seaward bastions catch the year's cleanest evening light at 5-5:30pm. The St Paul's Church choir runs 9am Sunday mass year-round but sounds best in the cool air. The Diu town fish market behind Bunder Chowk fills 7-9am — pomfret, prawns, bangda fresh in. Alliance Air loads run at 80-90 percent; book 5-7 days ahead. Cycle rentals at Diu Town junction: ₹150/day with passport-copy deposit. The 27sq km island is fully cyclable in a long day.
