Aurangabad to Ajanta: 100km (2.5hr). Aurangabad to Ellora: 30km (45min). Aurangabad to Daulatabad: 15km (20min). All good roads. Ajanta closed Mondays, Ellora closed Tuesdays.
Day by Day
Bibi Ka Maqbara morning. Panchakki watermill. Daulatabad Fort afternoon. Naan-Qalia dinner.
Full day at Ajanta Caves (100km drive). Cave 1 and Cave 17 murals are the highlights. Carry water and snacks. Return to Aurangabad.
Morning at Ellora Caves. Kailasa Temple (Cave 16) is the centerpiece — carved top-down from a single rock. Afternoon departure.
