    लीजेंडरी
    I.M. Road, Sangtemla Ward · ₹₹

    सिग्नेचरAo-style smoked pork with axone

Open 9am-5.30pm — strictly a daytime/lunch room, not for dinner. Eden's the host and remembers names; mention you've come from Kohima and ask which Ao dishes are running fresh. Don't skip the cupcakes from the confectionery side.

  • Hotel Metsüben Restaurant

    Mokokchung Compound · ₹₹

    सिग्नेचरNaga thali

Meals must be ordered at least one hour in advance — call before you walk over. Portions are generous, prices a touch higher than town-centre kitchens. Ask for the Naga thali and a window/morung seat for the hill view.

  • Hungry Ghost Restaurant

Kichuzar Complex (Top Floor), Tongdentsuyong Ward · ₹₹

    सिग्नेचरMachihan (Lotha chilli curry)

Open Mon-Sun 10am-8pm — book ahead for buffet nights. Order Machihan if it's on; outside Wokha, this is one of the few places it appears on a printed menu. The Ayatai mocktail uses local berries, worth a try.

  • Top Floor Café

Arkong Ward (Kitchuzar Complex) · ₹

सिग्नेचरTop Floor Special fried rice with beef chilli

Open 10.30am-8pm. Casual hangout, not a date room — go for lunch with the friend you're traveling with. The fried rice variants are what to order; skip the longer chowmein menu.
