Reservations required; the resort is largely guests-only with limited day-visit slots. October-March is the right window; April-June is too hot for the beach barbecue. The barbecue platter for two is the order; the Kutchi thali is decent but the same quality is at Osho for one-fifth the price.

Morning batches (9-11am) and evening batches (5-7pm) are when the food is fresh; in-between hours mean reheated. Sev khamani is the second order. Khaman with mirchi (green chilli + jaggery) is the local pairing; ask for it.

Fish fry is fresh on most days (Mandvi is a fishing port); ask what came in today. Dinner is the better meal; lunch can have day-old chicken. Don't expect alcohol — Gujarat is dry. Bring small notes; the bazaar location can't always make change.
