Drive 170km from Mumbai via NH-66 to Mahad — 4-5 hours, then SH-104 to Pachad base + 5km to ropeway. From Pune 130km via Mahad 4 hours. Ropeway 6am-7pm — most reliable Sep 15+. ₹250 RT. ASI fort ₹15. 1737-step climb possible but use grip-soled shoes — basalt still has moisture in spots. Allow 3-4 hours on summit. Combine with Mahad town heritage (Chavdar Tale Ambedkar memorial 24km from fort) for a 2-day visit.
