If you must travel through the Sahyadri in July, pivot to monsoon-built destinations: Lonavala-Khandala (Bhushi Dam overflowing, Duke's Nose cloud-curtains, waterfall rappelling at Bhivpuri), Bhandardara (Wilson Dam, Umbrella Falls roaring, Sandhan Valley), Kolad (Kundalika rafting peak with Tata Power dam release), Bhimashankar (Jyotirlinga monsoon trek through Indian Giant Squirrel sanctuary).
