Drive Mumbai-Nashik NH-3 defensively — hydroplaning continues, 4-hour buffer recommended. Stay at Manas Resort, Sahyadri Resort or small station-side guesthouses. Apply Vipassana Dhamma Giri 2-3 months ahead. Visapur Fort 80km off-route via Lonavala is the better August fort climb (sheltered, vs Kalsubai's exposed summit).
