The Aihole 35km southeast + Pattadakal 22km southeast day-trip axis runs as a clean three-day Chalukya circuit. Hotels run 25-30 percent below January peak: Krishna Heritage ₹3.5-5k, Mookambika ₹2-3k, KSTDC ₹1,500-2,500, Badami Court ₹2-3.5k. Strong call.
