Prashar Lake Trek is an easy single-day, 9 km trek, topping out at 2,730 m. The route takes in Floating island in the lake that moves position; Ancient three-storey pagoda temple; 360-degree Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal views; Cedar and oak forests with wildflowers in spring. Best months: March–June and September–November. Watch points: Road to Baggi village can be rough in monsoon; lake edge is slippery — stay on marked paths; no food stalls after Baggi — carry your own. Fitness level: beginner, suitable for children with adult supervision. Nearest hospital: Zonal Hospital Mandi — 35km from Baggi village, 1.5 hours by road. Network coverage: BSNL weak at lake. Jio/Airtel available till Baggi village. No reliable signal at campsite.
