Best months: April–May and September–November. Watch points: Inner Line Permit required from Uttarkashi; ridge is exposed — no shelter from wind or rain; weather can close in quickly — carry storm gear. Fitness level: moderate, permits required, not recommended for children under 14. Nearest hospital: District Hospital Uttarkashi — 95km from Sankri, 4 hours by road. Network coverage: BSNL in Sankri (weak). No network on ridge. Completely off-grid for 3 days.
