The clearest Panchachuli panorama of the year. At dawn the five peaks burn orange-to-white against indigo sky, and the detail — every couloir, every hanging glacier — is staggering. Rhododendrons are in full crimson bloom across the ridges. The temperature at 12-24°C is perfect for trekking, all trails are open, and the Kumaoni spring feels generous and warm.

    Simalgair Bazaar · ₹₹

    Signaturekumaoni-style dal makhani thali

    Sikrani, Chandak Road · ₹₹

    Signaturecoffee with himalaya view

Combine it with a Maa Ulka Devi temple visit on the same morning — both are on Chandak Road and the cafe sits below the ridge. Check phone first; weekday-afternoon hours can be patchy.

    Chandak Road · ₹

    Signaturekumaoni dal-bhat thali

Walk-in diners are welcome even if you're not staying — but order the Kumaoni thali, not the continental side. 2km from the bus stand; auto-rickshaw is the easy way up.
