Dwarka in October
Gujarat, India
Go — peak window opens, monsoon clears, full-day temple comfort returns.
October is Dwarka's opening month — monsoon retreats by the first week, the Char Dham circuit reactivates, and coastal Saurashtra hits the comfortable 24-34C window. Bet Dwarka ferry returns to regular schedule, Jagat Mandir darshan flows easily, and the November-February peak draws close.
The October story
October is the year's second-best month for Dwarka after November-December — air is dry, sea calms, sunset aartis run their classic colour palette, and pilgrim flow rebuilds from the August Janmashtami spike. Char Dham circuits that book early get the cleanest experience before December queues. Combine with the Saurashtra circuit re-opening: Gir National Park reopens Oct 16 (after monsoon closure), Somnath's Jyotirlinga regains seafront comfort by mid-month, and the Diu Portuguese coast becomes drivable. A 5-7 day October Saurashtra loop is the year's best combination trip.
