Watch points: Extremely steep sections; no water after Bhattara Mane; leeches in monsoon. Fitness level: high, not recommended for children under 16. Nearest hospital: PHC Kukke Subramanya 12km. Nearest hospital: Sullia 40km. Serious: Mangalore 100km. Network coverage: BSNL at Kukke Subramanya. Zero coverage on trek after Bhattara Mane.
