Harishchandragad Trek (Konkan Kada)

Igatpuri

Iconic Sahyadri overnight. Climb to the plateau via Pachnai (easiest), camp in stone caves, watch sunset from the U-shaped Konkan Kada cliff dropping 350m to the Konkan plain. Day 2 descends via the Tolar Khind rock-patch with iron ladder. Kedareshwar cave-temple (5ft Shiva linga submerged in water) is a side-stop. Real overnight wilderness 4hr from Mumbai.

चेतावनी

Tolar Khind rock-patch is technical — solo first-timers should hire a guide or take the easier Pachnai loop both ways

Plateau caves are stone floors only — bring sleeping bag + mat

No mobile signal on plateau; emergency descent is 30+ min

Avoid in monsoon — Tolar Khind ladder slick + plateau caves wet
