Why Special
Dambuk is a small Idu Mishmi village in the Dibang Valley, known for two things: its Jampani oranges (which produce one of India's best-regarded orange crops between November and February), and the Orange Festival of Adventure and Music, held every December — a three-day festival of live music, off-road rallies, and kayaking that draws visitors into one of the least-visited corners of the Northeast. Outside the festival, Dambuk is a genuinely quiet place — dirt roads, riverside orange groves, and the Dibang flowing wide and grey through the valley.

India's first adventure-and-music festival, held annually in Dambuk since 2015. ATV rides, river-rafting, zip-lining by day; rock, indie and DJ sets by night. Camp-style accommodation on festival grounds.
