The Five Kailashes: five sacred mountains across India revered as the earthly homes of Lord Shiva. Each offers a different scale of pilgrimage, from the accessible Manimahesh Yatra (August–September) to the extreme Shrikhard Mahadev trek. The summit Mount Kailash in Tibet and its Mansarovar Lake remain the holiest; the others are pathways to the same spiritual goal for those who cannot reach the Tibetan border.
