Chandrakhani Pass Trek
Chandrakhani Pass Trek is a moderate 3-day, 22 km trek, topping out at 3,660 m. The route takes in Ancient trade route to isolated Malana village; Views of Deo Tibba, Indrasan, and Parvati valley; Malana's unique culture — own parliament and ancient democracy; Dense forests of birch, oak, and rhododendron. Best months: May–June and September–October. Watch points: Malana has strict no-touch customs — do not touch anyone, any wall, or any temple; photography restricted in Malana — ask before shooting; trail can be unclear after snowfall — guide recommended. Fitness level: moderate, not recommended for children under 14. Nearest hospital: Regional Hospital Kullu — 20km from Naggar, 45 minutes. From Malana side: Kasol PHC 15km. Network coverage: Jio/Airtel at Naggar. No network after Rumsu until Malana. Malana has weak BSNL sometimes.
