Logistics
Fly into Srinagar. Hire a local driver for the whole trip — it's affordable (₹2,500-3,500/day) and they know the roads. Don't self-drive unless you're comfortable with mountain roads.

Full day Srinagar: Shankaracharya Hill sunrise, Mughal Gardens (Shalimar, Nishat, Chashme Shahi), Old City walk, Hazratbal.

Drive to Pahalgam. Check in. Afternoon: Betaab Valley, Aru Valley. Pony rides for kids. Lidder river walk.
Full day Pahalgam. Baisaran meadow (pony ride up). Chandanwari if time. Or just relax by the Lidder.
Drive to Sonamarg via Srinagar. Thajiwas Glacier walk (easy, 2km). Lunch at Sonamarg. Return to Srinagar evening.
Morning: Dal Lake flower market by shikara (early AM). Shopping at Lal Chowk. Depart.
