Eat before noon — most stalls fold up by 2 PM since the temple closes for afternoon rest. During Chadak Mela (the week before Pana Sankranti, mid-April), the strip stretches 400m and runs till midnight.

Ask for fish that's actually been bought that morning — there's no fish-jetty in Chandaneswar village, so the freshest catch comes from Digha (West Bengal) 8km north. Reserve dining and stay via OTDC online portal; walk-ins fill up on Chadak Mela weekends (Mar-Apr).
