Kashid has what most Maharashtra beaches don't β clean white sand and turquoise water. It's often ranked the #1 beach in Maharashtra. Located between Alibaug and Murud, it's a popular weekend escape from Mumbai and Pune. The beach is long and relatively undeveloped β no shack culture like Goa, just sand, sea, and a few resort options.

Kashid is a 3-km crescent beach 30 km south of Alibaug, 160 km from Mumbai, 170 km from Pune. Stay scene has two players β Prakruti Resorts (40-acre hillside) and MTDC's Kashid Sunrise (budget state tourism). Both closer to the beach than the Alibaug luxury cluster. For weekend-from-Pune crowds especially, Kashid offers cleaner beach than Alibaug's main stretch.
Prakruti Resorts is the only large-format resort at Kashid β no real upgrade comparison exists. MTDC Kashid Sunrise Resort is the budget alternative (βΉ800-1500/night). Prakruti has 121 rooms, Sparsh Wellness Spa, and 40 acres on a hilltop; MTDC gives you basic rooms at β the cost. The delta is format, not facility quality.
