Carnival weekend (variable date, three days before Ash Wednesday) brings Panaji float-parade spillover traffic on NH-66 from Saturday afternoon to Tuesday morning. The Taj Fort Aguada Resort holds its peak January rates through to mid-February; non-Taj options nearby are limited (this dest_id is intentionally thin in the database — Sinquerim/Candolim 4km north is the alternative base).
