Madhuban Trek
Madhuban Trek is a moderate single-day, 12 km trek, topping out at 200 m. Best months: January–March and October–December. Fitness level: moderate, permits required, not recommended for children. A moderate day-trip — book the trek with a registered guide and start before first light to clear the descent in daylight. The trek rewards early starters with forest canopy and coastal views before the heat sets in; pair it with Port Blair's cellular jail or Wandoor beach for a full day. Permits are non-negotiable and guides essential — the monsoon rains (June–September) render the trail unreliable, making winter the obvious window.
