Banjaar Tola, A Taj Safari

Banjaar Tola sits on 90 acres of sal forest and grasslands, straddling the Banjaar River at Kanha National Park's edge. The property is structured as two intimate camps—nine tents each—designed for minimal footprint and maximum wildlife immersion. Tented suites feature ensuite bathrooms, freestanding tubs, living rooms, and private decks overlooking the river and forest. The design language is Gond tribal: bell-metal work, traditional art, regional materials. Twice-daily safaris in open-jeep vehicles with trained naturalists; a Bush Dinner option for after-dark immersion. The Taj Safaris model (across Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Ranthambore) emphasizes conservation training and wildlife ethics—guides are veterans. The property avoids safari-theatre: you sit in a jeep for hours sometimes spotting only bird calls. Tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian wild boar, spotted deer, and over 300 bird species inhabit the park. October to April is peak season; forest closes June–September.
