Munna Tiger Memorial Sightings Trail (Kisli–Sarhi).
For 13 years Munna (T-17) was the most photographed wild tiger on earth — his forehead fur naturally spelled "CAT" and "PM" — but he was relocated to Van Vihar Bhopal in 2019 and died there in March 2021. Most current safari guides under 30 didn't work with him; ask a senior naturalist (15+ years) at your lodge to point out his old territory markers.WHY NOBODY KNOWS
Munna ruled Kanha zone, then shifted to Kisli and parts of Sarhi in his last two years in the wild. His scent-marking trees, scrape patches and a specific waterhole on the Kisli-Sarhi inter-zone road are still pointed out by veteran naturalists. Three of his sons (Bahadur, Beera, Bajrang) hold partial territory inheritance. His "CAT" mug-shot graced the cover of multiple Indian wildlife magazines 2005-2018 and made Kanha a tiger-photography pilgrimage.
